The 12 steps of recovery have been around since the 1930s when Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) was founded by Bill Wilson (or Bill W, as he is known in the recovery community). Since then, the 12 steps, which were originally for alcoholism, have been used for drug addiction (Narcotics Anonymous) and serve as the basis for many other 12-step programs for addiction.
Recovery Delivered offers a form of a 12-step program online by offering group meetings and 12-step counseling to our clients. The counseling is done one-on-one to provide as much anonymity as possible. This also helps individuals focus on working on their steps. When one of our clients finds a specific step difficult, they have someone available to help them through it.
